70th National Film Awards Winners To Be Announced Tomorrow, 12th Fail And Mammootty Frontrunners

70th National Film Awards: As per media reports, the nominations for the 70th National Film Awards will be announced tomorrow. The Jury for the 70th National Film Awards announced the winners for the year 2022 on August 16. 12th Fail and Mammootty have emerged as the frontrunners for the accolade this year. 

National Film Awards 2024 to be announced on August 16 

While there is no official announcement of the awards as of now, several media publications like Mathrubhumi have reported that it is likely to take place tomorrow. Traditionally, the awards are only known to be announced only on the day of the declaration. As per speculations, Vikrant Massey starrer 12th Fail and Mammootty are said to be running for the top spots.
 

Mammootty is a strong contender for his roles in Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam and Rorschach. Apart from him, Kannada star Rishab Shetty is also a contender for his role in Kantara. From Bollywood, the top names in circulation are Vikrant Massey and his film 12th Fail.

Alia Bhatt, Allu Arjun, Kriti Sanon won big in 69th National Film Awards 

For the 69th National Film Awards 2024, Allu Arjun won the best actor award for the Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise, and the best actress honour was shared by Alia and Kriti for Hindi films Gangubai Kathaiwadi and Mimi, respectively. This is the first National Award for all three actors.
