76th Primetime Emmy Awards: Top Nominees, Date, Time & All You Need To Know About TV's Biggest Night

Hollywood News: The biggest award event in TV history is around the corner. The second Emmy Awards of 2024 come eight months after the 75th Primetime Emmys were presented, which was postponed after last year’s writers’ and actors’ strikes. The shows leading the pack of nominations include Shōgun, Only Murders in the Building and The Bear among others. 

When and where to watch the Emmy Awards?

The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on Monday night at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. The live show will be hosted by the father-son duo of Schitt’s Creek fame- Eugene Levy and Dan Levy.

The award show produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment will be broadcast live on ABC Sunday, September 15 at 8:00-11:00 pm from the Peacock Theatre at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles and will be available on Hulu. While in India the event will be streamed on Lionsgate Play on September 16 (Monday) from 5.30 am.

Others appearing on the stage show as presenters include Matt Bomer, Viola Davis, Colin Farrell, Lily Gladstone, Selena Gomez, Joshua Jackson, Don Johnson, Mindy Kaling, Jimmy Kimmel, Greta Lee, John Leguizamo, George Lopez, Steve Martin, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Martin Sheen, Martin Short, Jean Smart, Dick Van Dyke and Kristen Wiig among stars.

The diverse lineup of talent represents critically acclaimed television series, Emmy-nominated programs across many viewing platforms and genres.

For this year's 76the Primetime Emmy Awards, Reservation Dogs, The Glided Age and The Traitors have secured spots in the top categories. 

While Shōgun is way ahead of the pack with 25 nominations. Other major contenders are Only Murders In The Building with 23 nominations, The Bear with 21 nominations and True Detective: Night Country with 19.
