When he asked the fan where is she from, the girl replied, “ Pakistan ”. On hearing this, Diljit couldn’t hold back his emotions and said that his music and Punjabi as a language don’t see borders. It is politicians who have drawn the borders, or else Punjabis don’t care about borders. He added that anyone present at his show, be it from India or Pakistan, welcomes them with both arms.

The emotional moment brought tears to his mother's eyes. Diljit then turned to another woman, bowed, and shook her hand, introducing her as his sister. "This is my sister and my family has come here today," he shared.
