Khalasi Singer Aditya Gadhvi, Rapper Hanumankind Rock PM Modi’s Diaspora Event In New York | WATCH

Rapper Hanumankind and Gujarati singer Aditya Gadhvi were among the Indian artists who performed at PM Modi’s diaspora event in New York.

New York's Nassau Coliseum in Long Island came alive with cultural performance as Indian artists set the stage on fire ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's speech. Apart from classical performances, sensational rapper Hanumankind and Gujarati singer Aditya Gadhvi performed at the Indian community event.

It is the first time in 75 years an Indian Prime Minister visited Long Island.

Hanumankind performs his hit raps at Modi & US event

Kerala -born rapper, who broke records with his latest album, Big Dawgs, performed at the Modi-US event today in New York. Several videos from the event are going viral showing the rapper enthralling the audience with his songs.

Hanumankind, whose real name is Sooraj Cherukat, became a global sensation after his album Big Dawgs received a raving response upon its release on July 10. It has garnered over 57 million views on YouTube and currently ranks high on the list of global top music videos. It has also entered the Billboard Hot 100 list.

Aditya Gadhvi performs his hit track Khalasi

Aditya rose to fame after his track Khalasi which he performed at Coke Studio Bharat became a superhit. Not just this, PM Modi also gave a shoutout to the singer after his track clocked 5 crore views on YouTube. On Sunday, the Gujarati singer made the US audience dance to his tunes when he performed his song at Modi and US event.

What else do we know about the Modi-US event?

A member of the event organising committee, Jagdish Sewhani, said, "It is a historical event in Nassau Coliseum, Long Island, New York. It looks like we are celebrating Diwali here... 15,000 Indian diaspora have come here in New York from 42 different states."
