Vikrant Massey starrer 12th Fail has marked its place at the box office despite witnessing a clash with Kangana Ranaut starrer Tejas. The film witnessed a slight dip on the seventh day of its release, yet managed to close the first-week collection by earning ₹13 crore at the Indian box office.
How's 12th Fail performing at the box office?
On the seventh day of the release, the film minted ₹1.30 crore, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh. This takes the total collection of the film in the first week to ₹13 crore in India.
"From a low-key start [on Day 1] to a solid total [on Day 4, 5, 6, 7], #12thFail has consolidated and cemented its status as an audience favourite… The trending on weekdays is an EYE-OPENER, more so because it was released during pre-#Diwali phase and in the midst of #CWC2023 matches… Fri 1.10 cr, Sat 2.50 cr, Sun 3.10 cr, Mon 1.50 cr, Tue 1.65 cr, Wed 1.85 cr, Thu 1.30 cr. 12th Fail beats Tejas
Vikrant Massey starrer has been ruling the box office despite clashing with Kangana Ranaut starrer Tejas. Tejas bombed at the box office. On the seventh day of the release, the film managed to mint ₹0.40 crore, as per Sacnilk. The total collection of the first week stands at ₹5.50 crore in India.

Coming back to 12th Fail, it was based on a true story, that draws from the struggles of the millions of students who attempt the UPSC entrance exam. But at the same time, it goes beyond that one exam and encourages people to not lose heart in the face of failure and to restart. Helmed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film was released in cinemas in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
