Kareena wishes well for Alia's Jigra
Alia Bhatt was a guest on Kareena Kapoor's chat show where she wished well for the actress' latest film Jigra, which released on October 10. Kareena said that she wished the film does ₹500 crore at the box office, adding "anything is possible with your film". Shy at first, Alia crossed her fingers as a sign of good luck.
Netizens are reacting to the video, trolling Alia amid muted response for the film.
Jigra low opening a sign of worry
Jigra has scored a low opening at the box office in Hindi and Telugu. Worldwide, it has minted ₹7.45 crore on its opening day. These numbers are far from the big box office openings that Alia manages, hinting the film has not been lapped up by the audiences.
The film is directed by Vasan Bala of Monica, O My Darling fame. It narrates the story of Satya (Alia), who embarks on a mission to save her brother Ankur (Vedang Raina) who is lodged in jail. The movie's trailer is packed with action, a genre new to the actress. Going forth, she will be seen in Love And War and Alpha.
