It seems like Aamir Khan is likely to join the pan-India bandwagon with his upcoming project. The Bollywood superstar, who will be seen in Sitaare Zameen Par next, has reportedly signed on to feature in Leo, Vikram and Kaithi fame Lokesh Kanagaraj's untitled next. Lokesh is currently busy with the shoot of Coolie, starring Rajinikanth, and also has Kaithi 2 lined up. But it seems like he is being considered for another project, marking his first collaboration with Aamir.
What do we know about the Aamir-Lokesh's rumoured project?
Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj will reportedly join hands for Mythri Movie Makers' upcoming project. Rumours are rife that the production house is in advance talks with the actor and the director to sign them up for their next pan-India film.
Interestingly, Aamir has worked with a South director in the past. One of the biggest hits of his career, Ghajini (2008), was directed by AR Murugadoss. Lokesh, meanwhile, has collaborated with Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt in his last directorial Leo, which was a huge hit. Aamir is currently involved with Sitaare Zameen Par, which could release later this year on Christmas. Lokesh, on the other hand, is busy with Thalaivar 171, starring Rajinikanth. It has been titled Coolie. It remains to be seen if Aamir and Lokesh do come together for the much-anticipated project or not.
Aamir Khan's next wraps up shoot
Aamir Khan's upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, wrapped up shoot in June, earlier this year. This film will also mark Aamir's return to the silver screen after 2022's Laal Singh Chaddha. Recently, the Dhoom 3 star co-produced Laapataa Ladies with its director and his former wife Kiran Rao. His next production is Rajkumar Santoshi's Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.
