Aamir Khan Ties Rakhi To Sister Nikhat Hegde On Raksha Bandhan, Photos Go Viral

Celebs celebrated Raksha Bandhan yesterday, August 20, with great pomp. Joining the bandwagon was Aamir Khan and his sister Nikhat Hegde. The Pathaan actress took to her social media handle to share the photos from the celebrations. However, what grabbed our attention was Aamir tying rakhi at her elder sister’s wrist.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Nikhat shared the photos that show the brother-sister duo in traditional outfits. In the first photo, Nikhat, in a red suit, is tying a rakhi at Aamir’s wrist. In the next, Aamir can be seen tying rakhi at his elder sister’s wrist, followed by a picture of him feeding sweets to her. Nikhat Hegde skipped the comment section and let the photos do the talking.

Soon after she dropped the post, her followers flooded the comment section. A user wrote, "So touching n endearing". Another wrote, "Lovely. Was awaiting your pic."

For the unversed, Nikhat is the eldest daughter of filmmaker Tahir Hussain and wife Zeenat Hussain. She has three siblings – Aamir Khan, Faisal Khan and Farhat Khan Datta.

What is Aamir Khan up to?

The veteran actor will be next seen in Sitaare Zameen Par, co-starring Genelia D’ Souza. It will be a sports drama, directed by RS Prasanna and produced by Aamir and Kiran Rao. The movie is based on the Spanish movie, Champions (2018). The movie is slated to hit the theatres on December 25, on the occasion of Christmas. The actor will also be producing Lahore 1947. A few days ago, the makers announced the film wrap which was shot over a single 70-day schedule. Starring Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Abhimanyu Singh and Ali Fazal, the film tells the story of the era of the partition of India. The makers are yet to announce the release date.
