Akshay Kumar vs Allu Arjun vs John Abraham: Khel Khel Mein, Pushpa 2, Vedaa To Clash At Box Office

Get ready for a three-way clash at the box office on August 15 as Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu starrer Khel Khel Mein has recently joined the race. On Wednesday, Taapsee took to her social media handle announcing that the movie has been preponed and now they are gearing up to release the movie in August. The movie will hit the screens on the same day Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 and John Abraham's Vedaa will release.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Taapsee shared a photo featuring the cast - Akshay, Pragya Jaiswal, Aditya Seal, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk and Vaani Kapoor - along with director Mudassar Aziz. In the caption, she wrote, "This Independence Day, step into a mad world of laughter, drama & loads of fun! Mark your calendars for August 15, 2024 when #KhelKhelMein hits the theatres." Earlier, the movie was supposed to release on September 6.

However, with a new release date, the movie will be clashing with one of the highly anticipated movies Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, and small-budget actioner Vedaa, starring John and Sharvari Wagh. It will be interesting to see if both Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein will be able to find considerable footfall in comparison to Pushpa 2.

Akshay Kumar and John Abraham's 3rd Independence Day box office clash

While the industry and movie buffs are gearing up for an epic clash, what's worth noting is that this will be the third time Akshay and John's movies will be clashing at the box office on August 15. Earlier in 2018, Akshay's Gold and John's Satyameva Jayate were released in cinemas on I-Day. A year later in 2019, Mission Mangal and Batla House clashed with each other. While Akshay has been winning the race, so it will be interesting to see if he'll be able to make a hat trick.
