Alia Bhatt was recently announced as the brand ambassador for the House of Gucci. In an interview with Elle US Magazine, she shared her love for sarees and how she would like to be dressed by the luxury brand for a big event like the MET Gala. The actress recently donned several chiffon sarees in her recent movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Alia Bhatt talks about her dream outfit for MET Gala 

In a recent interview with Elle US Magazine Alia Bhatt opened up about her comfort wear and fashion choices. The actress said, “To me, a chiffon saree is even more comfortable than jeans and a T-shirt. Whoever invented the saree was a genius: it’s meant for our weather in India because it’s airy and light, and you feel like you’re enveloped by a cloud. Your mood can go from zero to hero the minute you put one on.”

She further added that a saree adds femininity, sex appeal and softness. She said, “The saree does it all at once: it has softness, femininity, and sex appeal. It encompasses everything.” Alia took it a step further and revealed the saree to be her dream MET Gala outfit. She added, “It would be a dream to help design a Gucci-inspired saree and wear it to a massive event like the Met Gala.”

Alia Bhatt on her movie choices 

Alia Bhatt has been delivering hit movies at the box office in the recent past. Most of her movies have met with massive critical and commercial success. Speaking to Elle US magazine, Alia said, “The goal is always to put myself in rooms, studios, sets, and situations that I’m not very familiar with. Doing an English-language movie is out of my comfort zone. It would be the same as doing a [South Indian language] Tamil or Telugu film. That’s a whole new challenge, but it’s also very humbling. I like the idea of starting from scratch. It’s also a way to mix it up.”
