Animal box office day 14: Will the Ranbir starrer become the 4th film to enter ₹500 cr club in 2023?

Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor has been a huge success at the box office. The Sandeep Vanga directorial hit the big screen on December 1 and has been running housefull shows since then. After its 14-day theatrical run, the film has inched closer to amassing a total of ₹500 crore in domestic collections.

Animal hit the big screen alongside Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur, however, it continued to dominate the box office countrywide. Even after a 2-week theatrical run, the film continues to draw audiences to housefull shows. As per an early estimate provided by Sacnilk, Animal is expected to mint  ₹8.75 crore on its second Thursday, which is exceptional for a non-holiday, working day. 

This takes the film’s total business to  ₹476.84 crore in India alone. With just a few crores short of the staggering  ₹500 crore number, Animal is expected to join the big films that hit the benchmark this year. If the Ranbir Kapoor starrer mints a lifetime collection of over  ₹500 crore, it will become the fourth film after Pathaan, Jawaan and Gadar 2 to hit the milestone in 2023. 

Ranbir Kapoor starrer creates rage worldwide 

Not just in India, Animal has performed exceptionally well overseas as well. On December 14, the film’s 13th theatrical day, the official account of Animal released a new poster of the film. The poster read, “Box office beast 13-day worldwide gross ₹772.33 crore”. The poster was shared along with the caption that read, “The box office beast #Animal roars on.”

The animal is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri. In the film, Ranvijay 'Vijay' Singh learns about an assassination attempt on his father and sets out for revenge.
