CBFC modifies cuss words, intimate scenes in Animal
The Central Board of Film Certification report for Animal has been released online and a list of modifications in the film has come forth. As per the certificate doing rounds on social media, the film has a total run time of 203 minutes amounting to 3 hours 23 minutes. As per the CBFC report, a total of six modifications have been suggested for the film. A particular modification is regarding an intimate scene in the movie between characters Zoya and Vijay. The official statement read, “Modified the intimate visuals of Vijay and Zoya by deleting the close-up shots at TCR 02:28:37.”
The CBFC has also modified certain cuss words used in the film. Additionally, the usage of the words ‘black’ and ‘costume’ has been replaced with the word ‘vastra’. Two undisclosed dialogues have been changed to “Kabhi nahin” and “Kya bol rahe ho aap”. Lastly, the word naatak occurring in the movie has been muted and the subtitles have been changed to “You change pads four times a month.” These modifications come after the film was passed with an ‘Adult’ only certificate.
Animal trailer features a violent, blood-hungry Ranbir Kapoor
The trailer for Ranbir Kapoor’s gangster-action-thriller film Animal was released on November 23. The trailer is termed as gleefully violent, and bloody, as well as an emotional story. The child of a rich man, Ranbir’s character has a relationship with his father which is carved in blood and shaped by this darkness, he embraces his bloodlust and becomes a psychotic bloodthirsty killer. An ode to his strained childhood, the actor plays the role of Arjun Singh who always idolised his father but rarely got anything from him. Though Balbir does love his son, his work as a businessman keeps him occupied. Neglected though still a loving son, as he grows up Arjun has a family of his own with his wife Geetanjali (Rashmika Mandanna).

Engaging in a fistfight, both Ranbir and Bobby fight in a private airstrip in a one-sided fight where Bobby is pounding Ranbir brutally. Cutting to the end, it shows a victorious Bobby lying on top of Ranbir with their shirts off, and bloodied lighting a cigarette. The action and set design is top notch and the violence is off-the-scale as it pulls no punches. The music composed by Pritam, Jaani, Manan Bharadwaj, and Vishal Mishra among others with the BGM of Harshwardhan Rameshwar is solid and well-suited for a gangster film. Written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie fuses elements typical of both South Indian and Bollywood films. Releasing on December 1, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra, and Suresh Oberoi, among others.
