Animal global box office collection day 5: Ranbir Kapoor-starrer inches closer to Rs 500 crore mark

Sandeep Vanga Reddy's Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, maintained its successful streak on its 5th day at the global box office. The film was released in 38 countries worldwide including North America, where it debuted at No. 7 across 850 locations. The action drama raked in an impressive Rs 38.25 Cr in India on December 5. This substantial figure brings the total Indian collection to Rs 283.74 crore. Here's how much it earned globally.
Animal sets new records for Ranbir Kapoor
With its fifth-day box office receipts, Animal has become Ranbir Kapoor's second-biggest global and domestic hit, trailing Sanju's domestic gross of Rs 342 crore and worldwide gross of nearly Rs 590 crore.
Additionally, the film also surpassed Brahmastra from the previous year in every category, crossing the mark of Rs 450 crore worldwide after its 5th day. In the next few days, Animal is expected to surpass Sanju’s benchmarks and rank among the top five biggest Indian blockbusters of the year.
Animal’s India box office collection
Animal opened to ₹54.75 crore despite witnessing a clash with Sam Bahadur. On Saturday, the film registered a growth taking the collection to ₹58.37 crore. At the end of three days, the film's total collection stood at ₹168 crore, which is the second highest of all time after Jawan (₹175.15 crore).

As per estimates reported by Sacnilk, the film earned ₹36 crore in Hindi on Monday. Adding this to the collection, Animal's total stood at ₹212.58 crore after four days.
