Cuts by Bangladesh Film Censor Board

The audience in Bangladesh, much like their Indian counterparts, expressed disappointment with the censored version of Animal. The removal of impactful scenes resulted in a diluted viewing experience, lacking the intended shock value. Additionally, the film premiered later in Bangladesh on December 7, unlike its release on December 1 in India and other countries.

Comparison with other releases

Interestingly, while Animal faced significant censorship, another Indian film, Salaar, categorized with an 'A' rating, hasn't yet made its way to Bangladeshi cinemas. There's anticipation regarding its possible release in the upcoming week. Conversely, Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki enjoyed a simultaneous release in Bangladesh alongside its global premiere, differing from the delay experienced by Animal.
