Animal producer dismisses claims of fake box office collection
Addressing concerns surrounding the accuracy of the film's box office figures, co-producer Pranay Reddy Vanga affirmed their commitment to transparency. In a conversation with iDream Media, he clarified, "These numbers, whatever we have announced, are exactly accurate. People nowadays have doubts regarding box office figures because, in Bollywood, there is a trend of relying on corporate bookings. We haven't done that."
Notably, producer Bhushan Kumar shared insights into the potential for inflating box office numbers, acknowledging the role of corporate bookings in the process. While speaking to CNN-News18, Kumar explained that although he had no concrete evidence, corporate bookings often contribute to inflated figures.
He suggested, “Maybe, through corporate bookings. That doesn't mean people are buying tickets but halls are empty. These are corporate bookings. This happens in all the films.”
