Animal trailer out, netizens react to Ranbir Kapoor-Bobby Deol's showdown in gory film

The trailer of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal released earlier this afternoon. Instantly, netizens flooded the comments section with their praise for the intensity of the trailer, for Ranbir Kapoor’s aggression and most importantly for Bobby Deol’s raw aura which where the actor totally overpowers the last segment of the trailer.

Bobby Deol takes the cake, one X user posted

One X user posted, praising the director as well as actors, “#AnimalTrailer is absolutely masterclass. Looks promising and will leave you craving for more can't wait for the film now . @imvangasandeep. Take a bow #RanbirKapoor seen in his bloodiest avatar but for me #BobbyDeol takes the cake.” Noting the value veterans like Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor bring to the table, another X user commented, “Kids will watch Animal for Ranbir Kapoor. Adults will watch Animal for Rashmika Mandanna. Legends will watch Animal for Anil Kapoor & Bobby Deol.”

Talking about the relentless primal level of violence in the trailer, an X user with the handle ‘ravikiran248’ posted, “A Psychopath unleashed but Im wondering who is the Animal here. Bobby or Ranbir? You have my full attention @imvangasandeep. FDFS confirmed.”

Animal receives an A certificate

Besides the final showdown between Ranbir and Bobby Deol’s characters in the film, the Animal trailer has also drawn very positive responses for the complex father-son exchanges, and for the overall suaveness of the characters. 

Animal is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who rose to national fame with his 2019 Shahid Kapoor-starrer Kabir Singh. Earlier this week, the director posted an update about receiving A-rated certificate for his film, which has a final duration of 3 hours 21 minutes, making Animal one of the longest Hindi films in the recent times.

Animal is slated to release on Friday, December 1 where it clashes with the Vicky Kaushal starrer biopic Sam Bahadur.
