Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha: Ajay Devgn-Tabu's Tragic Romantic Thriller Gets Postponed - Here's Why

Reports have been rife that Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will be postponed owing to Kalki 2898 AD. Well, the rumours are true and to confirm it, Ajay Devgn has shared a post on his social media handle to inform his fans about the delay. The movie was originally supposed to hit the theatres this week on July 5.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Ajay Devgn shared a post where he informed that the movie has been postponed as the exhibitors and the distribution fraternity requested them. He further stated that the wait would be a little longer. The actor hasn't revealed the exact reason behind the delay but it seems the exhibitors and distribution fraternity requested him owing to Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD. The sci-fi thriller is currently enjoying a run at the box office and has surpassed Rs 600 crore mark globally. If Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha releases, then it might affect the business of the movie as Ajay and Tabu's chemistry has a huge fan base.

“Dear friends, on request of the exhibitors and the distribution fraternity, we have collectively decided to shift the release date of our film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. New release date to be announced soon," read the statement. The movie buffs will now have to wait for the official announcement regarding the new release date.  

What else do we know about Auron Mein Kahan Dun Tha?

The makers unveiled the trailer of the movie a few days ago showing a tragic love story of Ajay Devgn and Tabu. The film story follows lovers Vasudha and Krishan whose love story spans 23 years from 2000 to 2023, delving into the emotional depth and evolving dynamics of their relationship over two decades. Krishna gets involved in multiple murders and is sentenced to life imprisonment. This leads to Vasudha getting separated from him and marrying Abhijeet.

The movie also stars Jimmy Sheirgill in a pivotal role while  Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar as young Krishna and Vasudha. Multiple soundtracks, including Tuu and Ae Dil Zara, have also been released. The movie is helmed by Neeraj Pandey and bankrolled by Friday Filmworks production.
