Baby John: Varun Dhawan-Keerthy Starrer Gets A New Release Date, To Hit The Theatres In December

Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh starrer was earlier supposed to hit the theatres in May, but owing to 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the movie was postponed.

The maker of Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh, has finally announced the release date of the movie. The movie has been in the news ever since the makers unveiled the first teaser, showing Varun in a completely different avatar. Since then, his fans have been eagerly waiting for the movie to hit theatres. Earlier, the movie was supposed to release on May 31, but owing to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, makers had to postpone the release.

When will Baby John hit the theatres?

On Wednesday afternoon Atlee took to his Instagram handle to announce the new release date with a new poster. According to the new poster, the movie will be hitting the theatres on the occasion of Christmas, December 25. In the new poster, the actor looks fierce as he angrily looks at people in front of him carrying weapons. "Christmas this year just got merrier. Brace yourselves for Baby John releasing on December 25th," read the caption.

The movie might clash with Akshay Kumar starrer Welcome To The Jungle and Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par as they are scheduled to release on December 20. However, the makers of both movies are yet to confirm.

What do we know about Baby John?

On February 5, the makers of Baby John released the teaser of the Varun Dhawan starrer. The promotional teaser showcased Varun seated regally on a throne surrounded by traditional dancers. Holding a bird, Varun came out with a fierce, determined demeanour, hinting at a fierce battle.

Backed by Atlee and directed by Kalees, the film marks the Bollywood debut of Keerthy Suresh. The movie also stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Jackie Shroff in the lead roles. S Thaman is credited for the film’s music. The action drama is said to be a remake of Atlee’s 2016 directorial Theri, starring Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson. However, the maker is yet to confirm the reports.
