Soon after the trailer was released, movie buffs started posing clips of Akshay from the first movie of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise and asked the actor to save the movie from getting affected due to the clash. A user wrote, "BB3 team should immediately call Akki and request for a cameo in their film as “Aditya”. It will create havoc in theaters and give tough competition to Singham again’s cameos !!"
