Bollywood News: Bobby Deol often spoke about the lul in his career in the early 2000s. The actor bounced back in the industry by playing the mute antagonist in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial Animal. The actor recently opened up about his struggle in the industry and how he drowned in alcohol.

Bobby Deol: People let themselves drown

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Bobby Deol revealed how he made his fair share of mistakes and learned from them. He said, “It’s just that you had to go through all those things and you had to come out of it. No one can hold your hand”. He further said that people need to have control of their minds and believe in themselves. “It’s like you are growing and people let themselves drown. I think everybody can swim out of it," he stated. 

Opening up about how he came out of the phase, Bobby shared that suddenly a switch turned on in his mind after noticing his family being worried about him. “They would keep encouraging me. But they were so sad in their eyes looking at me while I was torturing myself. Revealing how it all started, the Aashram actor said, “I think it all started with Poster Boys." It was a “different genre” and bombed at the box office. However, he didn't give up as he was trying to do differently.

Bobby Deol’s upcoming projects

The actor, who bowled away his fans with his performance in Animal, is awaiting for the release of his next highly anticipated Tamil film Kanguva. Directed by Siva, the film stars Suriya and Disha Patani . This film will also mark the debut of Bobby Deol in the Tamil industry.

The actor will also be seen in Telugu-language period action adventure film Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1- Sword vs Spirit. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the film will star Pawan Kalyan, Anupam Kher and Vikramjeet Virk among others. 

Bobby Deol also has another film NBK 109 in the pipeline. The Telugu action drama directed by Bobby Kolli, will feature Nandamuri Balakrishna.
