Bobby Deol is currently gearing up for the release of his film Animal. Headlines by Ranbir Kapoor the film will hit the big screens on December 1 and Deol will be seen in the role of antagonist. As the actor prepares for his role in the upcoming movie, he reflects on his debut film Barsaat and how he shot with a Siberian Tiger.
Bobby Deol recalls shooting with a real tiger
Bobby Deol made his Bollywood debut with the 1995 film Barsaat. In an interview with Mashable India, the actor recalled travelling to Italy to shoot a scene with a real Siberian tiger for the film. He said, “We shot it in Italy. We learnt there was someone who had trained Siberian tigers. He had a small zoo of his own. I did the fight with the tiger there.”
The actor further revealed that the tiger’s toenails were clipped to prevent injuries, but his jaw remained unstitched to make the scene look more real. He revealed the handler of the tiger kept a piece of meat on the side so that the cat would leap for it, making it look like it was coming for the actor. He added, “I had to stop him with my hand. His paws were so heavy that when he would get tired, he would place his paws on me and I would get pushed down.”
Bobby Deol returns as a villain in Animal
Bobby Deol is returning to the big screen after 2019. He was last seen on the silver screen in Housefull 4. He portrays the antagonist, the enemy of Animal, in the upcoming movie. He embodies a character who is both fire and calm, a juxtaposition that adds depth to his portrayal. His fierce personality radiates through the new poster making him a formidable adversary for the film's protagonist.

Animal is an action thriller film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by T-Series and Cine1 Studios. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri. The film was earlier scheduled to be released on August 11 but was pushed to December 1 due to pending post-production work.
