Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant ’s wedding festivities became the talk of the tinsel town. The pre-wedding festivities began on March 1 and continued till early June. It was followed by a big fat wedding ceremony in Mumbai. While the bigwigs from across the globe attended the several events of the Ambanis, there were numerous Bollywood stars who attended all (and we mean it) events from Jamnagar to the haldi ceremony in Mumbai. Since Bollywood celebs were at all the functions, it raised the eyebrows of netizens and started speculating that the actors were paid to attend the function. However, now Ananya Panday, who was one of the celebs who managed to attend all the functions offered clarity if she along with others were “paid” to attend the ceremonies.

In an interview with Mashable India, Ananya spoke about the big fat wedding and rubbished the reports of Bollywood actors being paid by the family. She said, “Nahi (no)! I don't know why logon ko aisa lagta hain. They are my friends. So obviously main doston ke shaadi me aisa hi nachungi na (I will dance like that only for my friend's wedding right)?”

In the same conversation, when the Call Me Bae actress was asked if she had any takeaways from Anant-Radhika’s wedding, she replied, “One big takeaway from the wedding was that so much was happening, but whenever Anant and Radhika would look at each other, it was just pure love. It felt like violins were playing behind them. That’s something I want in life — that no matter how much chaos is around, you and that person share that connection.”

She listed two more takeaways from the wedding which are “girls should have a baraat” and the warmth the Ambani family spread during the functions.

Anant and Radhika got married on July 12. Celebrities from across the globe attended the star-studded wedding ceremony. However, the highlight of the whole wedding was baraat where Anant’s friends wore customized ensemble that read, “Anant’s brigade”.
