Alia Bhatt vs Divya Khossla Kumar: Controversy around Jigra is intensifying after Divya Khosla Kumar called out the actress for faking box office numbers. In the fight between Alia and Divya, the netizens have already picked one side and interestingly it's Divya. They have flooded the social media pages lauding the Savi actress for "exposing" Alia over the Jigra box office collection.

Divya's fans have flooded X for pointing out the discrepancy in the box office numbers despite the empty theatres. A user called Divya "brave" and wrote, "Omg ....Divya Khosla Kumar just pulled back the curtain on the intense PR tactics behind Alia Bhatt 's film #Jigra."

What did Divya Khossla Kumar post?

On October 12, a day after the release of Jigra, Divya Khossla Kumar, married to the T-Series Chairman Bhushan Kumar, took to her Instagram Stories and dropped a note for the Alia Bhatt starrer. The actress shared that she had gone to watch a film in a theatre which was “totally empty”. Divya added that Alia Bhatt announced a fake collection of her film after buying tickets for the shows herself.

Her note reads, "Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. The theatre was totally empty … all theaters going empty every where. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye ( Alia Bhatt has some guts to buy tickets of her own film and then announce fake collections). Wonder why paid media is silent. #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra Х (sic).” Her post comes amid reports of Jigra being a copy of Divya starrer Savi.

Savi is said to follow the same jailbreak story as that of Alia’s Jigra (the only difference being in Savi, the titular character played by Divya carries out the prison break of her husband, and in Jigra, Alia takes her brother out of the prison).
