Diljit Dosanjh is having a successful career as his both movies Crew and Amar Singh Chamkila, released this year, received positive reviews from the audience and did well in terms of numbers. His singing career is also flourishing with the Punjabi singer busy touring across the globe as he kicked off his Dil-Luminati Tour Year 24. The singer recently performed in Toronto, Canada, but before he set the stage on fire with his hit tracks, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joined the singer on the stage during a practice session.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Diljit shared a video that shows the Canadian PM making a stylish entry on the stage, while the singer practised for his performance at Rogers Stadium. The PM paid him a surprise visit and greeted the singer with folded hands. They can be seen chit-chatting and even posing with the crew for the photo. Canada PM personally met each crew member present on the stage. In the video, Diljit can be heard saying, "‘Punjabi aa gaye oye".
Sharing the video, Diljit wrote, "Diversity is Canada‘s strength. Prime Minister @justinpjtrudeau came to check out history in the making: we sold out the Rogers Centre!"
Not just Diljit, even Canada's PM took to his Instagram handle to congratulate the singer for making history by selling out all the tickets at Rogers Stadium. He shared glimpses from his surprise visit to the venue and penned a heartfelt note about how diversity is a "super power". He wrote, "Stopped by the Rogers Centre to wish @diljitdosanjh good luck before his show. Canada is a great country — one where a guy from Punjab can make history and sell out stadiums. Diversity isn’t just our strength. It’s a super power."
Diljit took centre stage at the Rogers Centre on Saturday evening, where he put on an electrifying show with his hit tracks. He performed his chartbuster songs such as Born To Shine, Jatt Da Pyaar from the G.O.A.T album and more.
