Deepika Padukone shares Shantipriya fan art as Om Shanti Om completes 16 years

Deepika Padukone, who made her Bollywood debut with Om Shanti Om in 2007 expressed her gratitude for starring in the film as it completed 16 years since release. Deepika took to her Instagram handle, she shared some throwback photos and wrote, "Gratitude”. She also shared fan art which was a compilation of 16 years of her journey in Bollywood.

Om Shanti Om was released in 2007. Major roles in the reincarnation drama were played by Kirron Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal, Yuvika Chaudhary and others in the Farah Khan-directed and Gauri Khan-produced film.

November 9, 2007 saw the release of Om Shanti Om.  The story revolves around Om, a young actor in the film industry, who falls in love with famous actress Shantipriya (Deepika) but dies while attempting to save her from a fire. After thirty years, he is reborn and decides to get revenge of her death.
