Did you know Juhi Chawla and Aamir Khan didn't speak for 7 years because of a fight at Ishq set?

Juhi Chawla and Aamir Khan have worked together in several films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, and Ishq. While the fans were impressed by the duo’s on-screen chemistry in Ishq, few are aware that the movie caused tension between the actors. Even though the film turned out to be a box office success, Aamir and Juhi didn't speak to one another for six years following the film's production.

Juhi Chawla-Aamir Khan's feud

On the sets of Ishq, Aamir Khan, and Juhi Chawla got into a heated argument over a minor disagreement that caused them to lose contact for nearly seven years. It happened because the Lagaan star used to play practical jokes on Juhi with his co-star, Ajay Devgn.

The actress said in an interview, “He made me cry with his pranks, and after our last fight I got really mad at him and I didn’t turn up for shoot the next day, which made him very angry. We stopped talking to each other. Both of us felt that we were angry with each other, we assumed that now we won’t talk to each other ever. We didn’t speak for about five to seven years.” 

Patch-up after several years 

In a press interaction, Aamir also talked about the feud and revealed that Juhi reached out to him when he was going through a divorce with his ex-wife Reena Dutta in 2002. He said, “When she got to know about my divorce with Reena, she called me up and asked to meet. Juhi had been close to both Reena and me, and she wanted to sort out our differences. We might not have been on talking terms but had continued to care for each other."

On the work front, Juhi Chawla was most recently seen in Friday Night Plan with Babil Khan and Medha Rana. On the other hand, Aamir Khan's last release, Laal Singh Chaddha, was a colossal box office failure. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh also play important roles in the Advait Chandan-directed film.
