Rohit Shetty, who is gearing up for the release of his web series Indian Police Force, recently met with the real hero of the 12th Fail movie. The filmmaker took to his social media handle to share a photo with Manoj Kumar Sharma. For the unversed, 12th Fail is based on a book by Anurag Pathak and follows the life of Manoj who overcomes extreme poverty to become an Indian Police Service officer.

Rohit Shetty took to his Instagram handle to share a photo with Manoj Kumar Sharma. Sharing the photo, he captioned, "Meet the real hero of “12th Fail” Manoj Kumar Sharma, had the honour of working with him during covid, at that time he was serving for Mumbai police… if you have not seen 12th Fail please do watch… it’s an inspiring story, especially for students and youngsters." Hailing from the Monera district of Madhya Pradesh, India, IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma gained popular fame in the town after the movie 12th Fail.

Manoj Kumar Sharma joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 2005 and worked as a Maharashtra cadre officer. In October, he made headlines following the release of the biopic 12th Fail, which chronicled his journey of becoming an IPS officer.

12th Fail to close Macau's Asia-Europe Young Cinema Film Fest

Vikrant Massey-starrer biographical drama 12th Fail, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra has been selected as the closing film for the Macau Asia-Europe Young Cinema Film Festival. Vidhu will attend the screening of 12th Fail on January 11 in Macau.

12th Fail, a story of resilience, perseverance, and never giving up, stars Vikrant in the lead role, alongside Medha Shankar, Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Priyanshu Chatterjee in pivotal roles. In November 2023, the movie was also submitted to the Oscars as an independent nomination. However, it didn't make it to the next level.
