Fighter teaser out: Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone starrer assures intense aerial action

Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, will make its theatrical debut next year. Ahead of its release, the makers unveiled the trailer of the film on Friday, December 8. It gave a glimpse of the three lead characters and promises to be an intense aerial action thriller.

Hrithik Roshan evokes patriotism in the Fighter teaser

The trio is introduced in their roles in the Fighter teaser. Anil portrays Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, aka Rocky, while Hrtithik plays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, aka Patty. 
Deepika will be seen in the role of Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, aka Minni. She is a member of the Air Force's elite unit. 

The film's world is introduced in a more than minute-long teaser that takes viewers to breathtaking heights, quite cinematically. There are aerial stunts, slow-motion entry shots, jets in the air, aviator glasses, thumping Vishal-Shekhar music, and what appears to be both a tragedy and a victory.

Furthermore, the final image of Hrithik in the helicopter, with a flag as the background, leaves an impact. As a spectator, the background music by Vande Mataram has a distinct effect. Not to mention, one of the scenes highlights the fiery chemistry between the Super 30 star and Deepika.

The team of Fighter 

Fighter was announced in January 2021 and was initially slated to release in September 2022. However, the film’s pre-production phase witnessed multiple delays because of the COVID-19 pandemic phase, and the shoot began only in November 2022. 

The story and screenplay for the film are written by Ramon Chibb who is making his feature film debut as a writer with this film. Fighter will mark Deepika and Hrithik's first collaboration. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is being produced and presented by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures. It is set to arrive in cinemas on January 25, 2024, on the eve of India's 75th Republic Day.
