As the country celebrates National Cinema Day on October 13, the audience was able to watch the movies in theatres for Rs 99 per admission. A mix of Bollywood, Indian regional and Hollywood titles like Mission Raniganj, Gadar 2, Fukrey 3, Dumb Money, Saw, Jawan, The Creator, Mark Antony and Kannur Squad can be enjoyed for slashed prices.

Movies benefit from slashed prices
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared that there was a thunderous response from the audience to National Cinema Day. Admittance rates were so high that titles like Mission Raniganj, Jawan and Fukrey 3 reaped the benefits of the low prices. Fukrey 3, which collected ₹1.05 crore on Thursday, earned ₹2.61 crore by 4 pm in national chains like PVR INOX, Cinepolis, Miraj, Citypride, Asian, Mukta A2 and others.

Akshay Kumar's Mission Raniganj, which is otherwise struggling at the domestic box office saw a jump in its collection. It minted ₹ 2.38 crore by 4 pm on Friday.
National Cinema Day details
For the occasion, The Multiplex Association of India (MAI) and cinemas all over India united for an unforgettable movie marathon for enthusiasts. Building on the resounding success of last year's event, which saw the highest-ever single-day admissions of 6.5 million, National Cinema Day this year unfolded across more than 4,000 participating screens.
