Gadar 2 BO Collection Day 13: Film slows down ahead of Dream Girl 2, King Of Kotha release

Gadar 2 continues to draw massive crowds to theatres days after its theatrical release. The sequel of the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha has already become one of the fastest films of the year to breach the ₹400 crore mark. Now, going by the double-digit figures that the film has been raking in despite new releases, it seems inevitable that Gadar 2 will break a few more box office records before its theatrical run ends. Meanwhile, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film’s total collection as of Wednesday, stands at a staggering ₹410.70 crore India nett.

Gadar 2 registers double-digit numbers even in its second week

Sunny Deol's action flick seems unstoppable at the box office. Even a week after its release, the film continues to pull crowds to theatres. On Wednesday, August 23, the film minted ₹10 crores at the domestic box office. Though this is the lowest collection Gadar 2 collected on a given day since its release, trade analysts noted it was still impressive considering Wednesday was a working day. Now, whether the film manages to enter the ₹500 crore club and break Sidharth Anand-directorial Pathaan's record of the highest-grossing film of the year, will depend on its business in the coming days.

Gadar 2 to slow down post new releases Dream Girl 2 and King Of Kotha?

While Gadar 2 continues to have a dream run at the ticket counter, the film might face stiff competition with the upcoming releases. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his X account (formerly known as Twitter) to mention that Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Dream Girl 2 has already sold 26,550 tickets. As per Sacnilk, the film will take an opening of ₹7-8 crore. Meanwhile, analyst Sumit Kadel told Republic Digital that the Dulquer Salmaan film King Of Kotha is likely to make between ₹15-16 crore in India on the opening day.

Gadar 2 leaves behind Jailer in domestic collections 

Much like Gadar 2, Rajinikanth starrer Jailer is also having an impressive run at the box office. The two movies were released a day apart. While Jailer hit the big screens on August 10, Gadar 2 released on August 11. However, the Rajinikanth starrer has been able to mint only ₹295.78 crore at the domestic box office while Sunny's film crossed the ₹400 crore mark within 12 days of its release.
