Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 14: Sunny Deol film breaks another Baahubali 2 record

Gadar 2 has completed two weeks of its theatrical run since its release on August 11. The movie has broken several box office records already and is eyeing the title of the highest-grosser of the year, beating Pathaan. While the film registered its lowest collection yet on its 14th day, the 2nd week total stands at Rs 134.47 crore at the domestic box office. The Sunny Deol starrer has become the highest-grossing film in its 2nd week, post-pandemic and only behind Baahubali 2 (Hindi).

Gadar 2 makes record of highest 2nd week collection

Even after two weeks of its release, there is no stopping for Gadar 2. The film continues to create mayhem at the box office, despite facing competition from new releases. On the completion of week 2, the film collected a staggering Rs 419.1 crore at the domestic box office.

Though the film continues to pull audiences to the theatre, its business has slowed down, owing to the weekdays. Sharing the film’s business on social media, trade analyst Taran Adarsh said that it will continue to dominate the heartland in the 3rd week as well. However, the film registered its lowest collection since its release on Thursday as it made only Rs 8.4 crore. 

Gadar 2 makes another box office record

Gadar 2 continues to leave behind previous record-breaking films. After its 14-day run, the Sunny Deol starrer has left behind Dangal which grossed Rs 115.96 crore in its 2nd week. Gadar 2 has surpassed its collection and now ranks second to Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi) which minted Rs 143.25 in its second week.
