Govinda's Wife Sunita Recalls Stalker Fan Incident, Says Minister's Daughter Worked For Them As Maid
Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja recalled an incident when a female fan turned up at their doorsteps as a maid and worked at their residence for about 20 days.
Govinda ruled the big screens in the 90s by giving blockbuster hit movies, including Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1 and Aunty No. 1. Owing to this, he enjoyed a great fan following, particularly among women. In a recent interview, the actor's wife Sunita Ahuja recounted a shocking incident when a fan disguised as a maid worked at their house for almost 20 days. She shared that she was actually the daughter of a minister.
'She used to stay up late and wait for Govinda '
Sunita appeared at Timeout With Ankit podcast where she candidly spoke about the kind of fan-following Govinda enjoyed. She recalled an incident when a female fan turned up at their doorsteps as a maid. "She stayed with us for around 20-22 days. I thought that she looked like she was from a well off family. I told my mother-in-law that she didn’t know how to do the dishes or clean the house. Eventually, we got to know she was some minister’s daughter and a Govinda fan.”
During her time at their house, the fan used to stay up late waiting for Govinda . This surprised Sunita and she did a background check. On being confronted the fan started crying and confessed that she was Govinda's fan. "Then her father came and brought four cars with him. I think she worked with us for about 20 days. This is the kind of fan following he had,” Sunita added.
