Earlier today a report was rife that Abhishek skipped Aishwarya's cousin's birthday party despite being in Mumbai. However, now the sources have revealed that the actor is currently in Bhopal with his mother Jaya Bachchan looking after his grandmother (Nani) Indira Bhaduri.

This morning, a photo of Aishwarya with her daughter Aaradhya and mother and cousin Sagar Shetty went viral, claiming it to be from a family get-together. However, Abhishek is missing from the family photo. His absence led to the speculations about his bond with Aishwarya's family. Netizens claimed that Abhishek was in Mumbai and still, he skipped the bash.

Later it was learned that Abhishek was not in the city, and was in Bhopal to meet his grandmother.

Why Abhishek Bachchan didn't attend the bash

Hours ago several media portals reported that Jaya Bachchan's mother Indira Bhadhuri died. However, later IANS quoted sources revealing that she is doing fine and called the reports "misleading or unverified information.” The statement shared by the family also revealed that Abhishek and Jaya are in Bhopal looking after Mrs Bhaduri.

It is reported that Indira Bhaduri has been hospitalised in Bhopal. Several media reports also claimed that she had been unwell for the past few days and had been under medical supervision after suffering a spinal fracture.
