Hindustani 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Kamal Haasan Starrer Set For Low Opening Weekend In Hindi

Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2 suffered a blow on the second day of the release at the domestic box office. Upon its release, the movie earned mixed reviews from the critics and audience and still had a good opening day. However, this has impacted the second-day business of the movie. While the movie has witnessed a downfall in the overall domestic box office collection, the Hindi version, Hindustani 2, stands steady.

Helmed by S Shankar, the Hindi version has earned the same as the first day, ₹1.2 crore, as per early estimates reported by Sacnilk. Adding the two-day collections, the total stands at ₹2.4 crore. Hindustani 2 had an overall 13.30 per cent Hindi Occupancy on Saturday with the maximum reported in Bengaluru (48.50 per cent).

Speaking of the overall collection, the movie witnessed a 34.77 per cent drop in the daily collection on the second day. It minted ₹16.7 crores in India with ₹13 crores in the Tamil version and ₹2.5 crore in the Telugu version. Adding the two-day collection, the total stands at ₹42.3 crore.

There was some drop in the collection of the Telugu version of the film as the first Saturday estimates for all versions of Indian 2 suggest the collection to be around 20 crores gross (17 crores net) for around 50 crores total domestic gross in two days. The opening weekend is expected to be around 75 crores gross (63 crores net).

Jagan unhappy with Kamal Haasan and Indian 2 makers

Jagan shared in an interview with Behindwoods TV that he was unhappy about not being included in the promotions of Indian 2. Ahead of its July 12 release, the makers of the film seemingly encountered a minor hiccup with one of its cast members alleging unfair treatment by them. Jagan said that he has a substantial role in the movie and despite that, he has not been asked to be part of the promotions of the film.
