IIFA Utsavam 2024: Gulshan Grover Opens Up About Son Sanjay's Bollywood Plans

The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2024 officially began on Friday, September 27, in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. It opened with a star-studded press conference, followed by the first event IIFA Utsavam 2024, hosted by Rana Daggubati and HanuMan star Teja Sajja. At the event, Gulshan Grover revealed his son Sanjay’s plans to join Bollywood.

Gulshan Grover shares Sanjay’s plans in Bollywood

In interview with ANI, Gulshan Grover expressed he is proud of his son’s achievements in both Hollywood and Bollywood and is also going to act soon. He said, “So, I’m in a happy star. And I’m also very happy that my son Sanjay Grover, who has been a film producer in Hollywood studio MGM, has finally come to India after my emotional blackmail and crying. He’s produced two films, one with a Hollywood director for international audiences and a  Bollywood film. My son Sanjay Grover is going to act soon”.

“It’s been a great journey. Extremely happy. Extremely happy and grateful to the filmmakers, audiences, that they’ve been very kind and their love has not reduced. In fact it has enhanced”.

All About IIFA Awards 2024

The three-day ceremony will commence on September 27. The first day of the event will celebrate the four regional film industries of India - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. This celebration is called IIFA Utsavam.

This will be followed by the main IIFA event on September 28, Saturday. Best of the Hindi film industry from 2023 will be honoured at the event. This will be followed by the final night, September 29, IIFA Rocks which will be a musical night celebrating the music industry. For the 24th edition, the three-day event will be held at the 18,000-seater Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
