Ishq Vishk Rebound Box Office Collection Day 4: Rom-com Drama Fails Monday Test, Mints ₹38 Lakh

Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grrewal starrer Ishq Vishk Rebound is struggling at the domestic box office. Helmed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, the movie opened at ₹1 crore but saw a slight hike in the numbers every day. In its first weekend, the movie was able to mint over ₹3 crore. However, its real test was Monday which will decide the fate of the movie in the remaining week.

The romantic comedy failed the Monday test as it earned less than what it earned on the first day. The movie minted ₹0.38 crore, as per early estimates reported by Sacnilk. Adding the fourth-day collection, the total now stands at ₹3.98 crore. Ishq Vishk Rebound had an overall 10.15 per cent Hindi occupancy on Monday with a maximum in Chennai (20 per cent).

As we told you above the movie opened at ₹1 crore, but over the weekend the movie saw a surge in the daily collection. It earned ₹1.2 crore and ₹1.4 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Ishq Vishk Rebound vs Munjya vs Chandu Champion

The recently released movie is facing competition with previous releases, 3-week-old Munjya and 1-week-old Chandu Champion. The horror comedy that hit the theatres on June 7 has so far managed to earn ₹87.31 crore in India, while Kartik Aaryan starrer that released on June 14 has entered the ₹50 crore club in 11 days. Seeing the daily collection of Ishq Vishk Rebound, the movie will not be able to make its place when Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD releases in the theatres on June 27. It might also affect the business of the other two movies - Munjya and Chandu Champion.

The movie serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2003 film Ishq Vishk, starring Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao. The movie is produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani under Tips Films.
