Janhvi Kapoor-Gulshan Devaiah Starrer Ulajh Postponed, To Release In August On THIS Date

Janhvi Kapoor was recently seen in Mr & Mrs Mahi, alongside Rajkummar Rao. The movie earned mixed reviews from the critics but performed well at the box office. After having a good start at the box office, the actress is now gearing up for the release of her other two highly anticipated movies - Ulajh and Devara: Part 1.

With Devara pushed to September, now her other movie Ulajh which was supposed to hit the theatres in July has been pushed to August.

When will Ulajh release in theatres?

On Monday afternoon, Janhvi Kapoor took to her Instagram handle and shared a new motion poster of Ulajh, announcing the new release date. The movie will now hit the big screens on August 2. However, the makers have not delved into the details as to why the date has been pushed. In the movie, the actress will play the role of a diplomat called Suhana, who is on a mission to discover the truth.

A look at the teaser of Ulajh

The movie follows the journey of a young diplomat, who belongs to a prominent family of patriots. She finds herself embroiled in a dangerous personal conspiracy, far from her home turf, at a career-defining post. The teaser starts with the notes of Saare Jahan se Accha playing in the background. Janhvi is shown in the company of several top brass in an embassy. Gulshan Devaiah makes a cold entry with his voice-over without making an appearance in the teaser. However, his monologue delivery perfectly complements Janhvi’s appearance.

In the following shots, Janhvi can be seen engaging in a tussle with someone whom she also brutally whacks on the head, and then wipes the blood off the floor. Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathews are the co-lead stars, and Janhvi is accused of selling national secrets in the teaser.

Apart from Janhvi, the movie also stars Adil Hussain, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Rajendra Gupta, and Jitendra Joshi.
