Janhvi Kapoor's Ulajh, Ajay Devgn's Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Debut On OTT After Poor Theatrical Run

Ulajh OTT Release: Several Bollywood films have made their OTT debuts this weekend, following runs in theatres. Recent reports confirm that after Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2, Janhvi Kapoor 's film Ulajh and Ajay Devgn -Tabu starrer movie Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha are now available for streaming on OTT platforms.

On September 27, Ajay Devgn ’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha premiered on Amazon Prime Video, while Janhvi Kapoor ’s Ulajh is available on Netflix. Additionally, Stree 2 can currently be rented on Prime Video and will start streaming for free for subscribers from next month.

Amazon Prime Video announced the digital release of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha on its Instagram account, sharing a poster featuring Ajay Devgn , Tabu, Shantanu Maheshwari, Saiee Manjrekar, and Jimmy Shergill. The caption stated, “Two hearts separated by time, reunited with love. #AuronMeinKahanDumThaOnPrime, Watch Now.” Meanwhile, Netflix India's Instagram page also posted about the OTT release of Janhvi Kapoor ’s Ulajh. Unfortunately, both films did not perform well at the box office, raising questions about how viewers will respond to them on streaming platforms.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, Ulajh did not perform well in the theatres

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Ulajh, released on August 2, performed poorly at the box office, earning just Rs 11.25 crore globally. With a production budget of Rs 35 crore, the film, directed by Sudhanshu Saria, centres on Suhana Bhatia ( Janhvi Kapoor ), a young IFS officer from a family of patriots. She embarks on a significant assignment far from home, only to find herself embroiled in a dangerous personal conspiracy.

On the same day, Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, featuring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, also fared badly at the box office, collecting Rs 12.91 crore. The film, produced with a budget of Rs 100 crore, follows Krishna and Vasudha as their developing romance faces turmoil when Krishna gets caught up in a murder case, resulting in his imprisonment for 23 years.
