Jigra vs Vicky Vidya... Box Office Collection Day 4: Alia Starrer Falls Short Of Rajkummar's Film

Jigra vs Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Box Office Collection: Alia Bhatt starrer and Rajkummar Rao's romantic comedy clashed at the box office. Both the films had low opening but still Vicky Vidya... is leading the Hindi chart whereas Jigra got embroiled in controversy over "fake box office numbers".

Vasan Bala starrer has been struggling at the box office since the first day. The movie opened at ₹4.55 crore and witnessed a spike in the collection on the second day. However, from the third day, there has been considerable decline. The movie has failed Monday's test as it minted approximately ₹1.50 crore, per Sacnilk. Adding the four-day collection, the total stands at ₹18.10 crore.

Jigra had an overall 10.35 per cent Hindi occupancy on Monday with a maximum reported in Chennai (30.25 per cent).

Rajkummar and Triptii Dimri starrer has been performing well in comparison to Jigra. The movie opened at ₹5.5 crore at the box office in India and has since earned over ₹6 crores. However, on the fourth day, the first weekday, the collection witnessed a sharp decline. The movie earned approximately ₹2.25 core, taking the total to ₹21.05 crore at the box office in India. Vicky Vidya ka Woh Wala Video had an overall 10.96 per cent Hindi occupancy on Monday with a maximum reported in Chennai (37 per cent).

All about the Jigra controversy

The movie has drawn flak after several netizens reported that Jigra's shows are running empty in the theatres. On October 12, Divya Khossla Kumar also dropped a post on X sharing that she went to watch the movie, but the whole theatre was empty. She pointed when the shows are going empty then how come makers are claiming that it is earning in crores? Meanwhile, there are also reports of "copying" the plot from Savi, but the only difference in both movies is Divya fights the foreign authorities to save her husband, whereas Alia fights Japanese authorities to save her brother.
