Kahaani actor Parambrata Chatterjee ties the knot with Piya Chakraborty, first photos out

Speculations surrounding the marriage of acclaimed actor Parambrata Chatterjee and his long-time partner, Piya Chakraborty, have finally been put to rest as the couple tied the knot on Monday. They got married in a court wedding. The Kahaani actor took to social media and shared photos from their intimate registered wedding.

In the photos, Parambrata Chatterjee and Piya Chakraborty were seen seated on a sofa. In another photo, they were captured while signing official documents. For their special day, Parambrata donned an orange-hued kurta paired with white pyjamas and a sap-green Nehru jacket.

Piya, on the other hand, chose a white saree adorned with intricate red embroidery. A red-hued blouse featuring traditional prints, layered gold neckpieces, shankha-pola, and a small maroon bindi complemented her look.

Accompanying the pictures, Parambrata shared a beautiful note inspired by T.S. Eliot’s poem, The Love Song Of J Alfred Prufrock. He wrote, "Let us go then, you and I When the evening is spread out against the sky… This is it.”

Parambrata-Piya's previous relationships

Before tying the knot with Piya, Parambrata Chatterjee, once considered among the most eligible bachelors in Bengali cinema, had traversed a path of love. His previous relationships include a short-lived affair with actress Swastika Mukherjee. Following this, he engaged in a long-distance relationship with Netherland-based girlfriend Ike Schouten.

Meanwhile, Piya was previously married to singer Anupam Roy in 2015. However, rumours of strain in their relationship surfaced, with speculation that Parambrata might be a factor. The couple officially announced their divorce on November 11, 2021. They issued a joint statement on X.
