Kalki 2898 AD Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 2: Prabhas Starrer Nears ₹300 Crore Mark

Prabhas is one of the few actors who has delivered several movies with big openings at the box office, such as Baahubali 1, Baahubali 2 and Salaar, to name a few. His latest release, Kalki 2898 AD is also off to a great start at the worldwide box office and has minted close to ₹300 crore gross globally in just two days. The film is expected to wrap up its first (extended) weekend run on a very good note. 

Kalki 2898 AD going strong at worldwide box office

Kalki 2898 AD had already become the biggest opener of 2024 in all languages, surpassing Hrithik Roshan starrer Fighter day 1 collections with its Hindi business only. On day 2, the numbers for Kalki 2898 AD dipped slightly but are expected to pick up on Sunday again. The business will take a hit on Saturday due to India vs South Africa T20 World Cup final. 

According to the film's production house, Vyjayanthi Movies, Kalki 2898 AD has earned ₹298.5 crore gross worldwide in two days. The collections on day 1 were ₹191.5 crore and on day 2 were ₹107 crore. The film is expected to wind up its first (extended) weekend run with over ₹500 crore gross collections worldwide.

Top performing regions in India for Kalki 2898 AD

According to Box Office India, Kalki 2898 AD witnessed an excellent second day as collections showed a jump of around 5% which took its collections to ₹22 crore nett in Hindi. The film showed the bulk of the growth in Mumbai circuit which was a little lower than it should have been on the opening day. Telugu version of the film has been the biggest contributor to its business with ₹ 94.65 crore business in two days. The Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions of the film have contributed ₹7.8 crore, ₹4.3 crore and 65 lakh respectively.
