Katrina Kaif calls Merry Christmas ‘most difficult film’ of her career, praises Vijay Sethupathi

Katrina Kaif marked her presence at the Red Sea Film Festival 2023 ongoing in Jeddah. The actress took on the stage to talk about her upcoming film Merry Christmas. She dubbed the film as the ‘most difficult’ project and heaped praises on her co-star in the movie Vijay Sethupathi. 

Katrina Kaif reasons why she found Merry Christmas challenging 

Katrina Kaif took on stage at the Red Sea Film Festival 2023 to talk about her upcoming projects. The actor spoke about Merry Christmas and said, “It was always to work with him (Vijay Sethupathi) and I got the opportunity in Merry Christmas to work with it. It was phenomenal, by far the most difficult film I have ever done. Definitely, the character took a lot out of me but the experience really challenges you as an actor. Also, it's a bilingual film. We shot the film in Hindi and Tamil. In the Tamil version, I have actually spoken in Tamil so it was two takes for whatever you were doing and that was really challenging but exciting.”

Talking about her co-star in the film Vijay Sethupathi, Katrina mentioned, “My co-star Vijay Sethupathi is so phenomenal. When we would do the Hindi take, he would be fantastic but when we would do the Tamil take, there would be a different actor.” 

About Merry Christmas 

Actors Katrina Kaif, and Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming film Merry Christmas is all set to release on December 15. The film is shot in two languages, with different supporting actors. The Hindi version co-stars Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, while the Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in the same roles. 

The film also introduces Pari, a child actor. Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte are seen in cameos.
