Kill Box Office Collection Day 1: Lakshya, Raghav Juyal Starrer Mints ₹1.35 Crore

Kill had an overall 12.28 per cent Hindi occupancy on Friday with the maximum reported in the Chennai region (41.67 per cent).

Kill, starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal and Tanya Maniktala, has finally debuted on the silver screen. Helmed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the action thriller movie is garnering positive reviews from critics and audiences. The movie marked the debut of TV actor Lakshya in Bollywood.

The extremely violent movie performed comparatively well as expected. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie minted ₹1.35 crore in India. "#Kill opens on expected lines on Day 1... Low occupancy in morning shows, gathering momentum in evening... Enjoys favourable feedback and solid critical acclaim, but it needs to convert into higher footfalls and numbers, especially on Sat - Sun… Fri ₹ 1.35 cr. #India biz. #Boxoffice," read the caption.

Kill had an overall 12.28 per cent Hindi occupancy on Friday with the maximum reported in the Chennai region (41.67 per cent). The movie was bankrolled by  Guneet Monga, Apoorva Mehta and Achin Jain under Dharma Productions' banner.

Kill X review

The film follows the story of army commando Amrit (Lakshya) who finds his love in Tulika (Tanya Maniktala). However, things change when both find themselves trapped in the train taken over by Fani (Raghav Juyal) and his gang, who begin to mercilessly kill the passengers. The action thriller also stars Ashish Vidyarthi and Harsh Chhaya.

Audiences seemed to be liking the action choreography in Kill. Some even compared it to Hollywood films like the John Wick series. Reviewing the film, a netizen wrote, "#KillReview BRUTAL, BRUTAL, BRUTAL!!!!! Never seen anything like this before, there is blood every Fu****g where (sic)." Another commented, "#Kill is a one-of-a-kind action fest on the #Indian screen. Bloodbath, gore, carnage – it's a wild ride (sic)."

Kill to get an English remake

Filmmaker Chad Stahelski, best known for directing the Hollywood blockbuster franchise John Wick, starring Keanu Reeves, is set to produce the English-language remake of Kill. The announcement came days before the release of the Hindi-language title, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat.

Kill had received rave reviews following its world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival. It was billed as "the most violent film made out of India".
