Paloma Dhillon, daughter of Poonam Dhillon who made her debut with the Rajshri film Dono, opened up about her brother’s failed debut during a recent interview. Paloma was talking to Bollywood Bubble when she got emotional talking about her brother Anmol Dhillon who had made his acting debut a few years ago, but did not get his due attention because of pandemic scenario.

Anmol's debut Tuesdays and Fridays released in February 2021

Anmol Dhillon’s debut happened in February 2021 with the rom-com Tuesdays and Fridays, which was produced by Bollywood biggie Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Anmol was paired with Jhataleka Malhotra who too was making her debut with the film.

On being asked if Paloma felt any reservations or doubt about her debut after witnessing Anmol’s debut failing from such close quarters, Paloma was quick to dismiss having any such thoughts. She added, “I do feel it was something that he could not control. A lot of things in the industry, one can’t. CoVID happened, his film came out in theatres when no one was stepping out of the house. We didn’t know when theatres were going to start functionally fully. And then his film came up on OTT.”

Paloma was accompanied in the interview by her mother Poonam Dhillon who has been a popular Bollywood actress herself in the 1980s. She too spoke about Anmol’s debut, and that phase. Poonam stated, “During covid, people started watching OTT. And now films and productions are specially made for OTT. That time it was majboori. I remember when theatres opened, Anmol wanted to go to a multiplex out of choice and I refused since we were fearful of what happened that time. It was a situation which none of us could control.”
