Prabhas' Spirit, Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal part of the same universe? Sandeep Vanga reacts

The trailer for Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming movie Animal was launched earlier today in New Delhi. At the trailer launch, one of the media members asked a question about connection between Animal and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next film project Spirit, which stars Baahubali actor Prabhaas.
Ranbir teased a universe connect between Animal and Spirit?
Considering all the new-born obsession with franchise and cinematic universes in Indian cinema, on the lines of Marvel Cinematic Universe and other franchises in Hollywood, someone from the media asked if Animal and Spirit belong to the same universe. Ranbir Kapoor took the question in good spirit, on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s behalf, and said addressing Sandeep Reddy Vanga, “Sir, your next picture Spirit is a cop movie… and this is a gangster movie. But is there is a connection between the two? Is there a common universe?”
In response, Sandeep Reddy Vanga said, “I didn’t think of it yet,” adding that if he ends up developing the plot in such a direction, he will keep everyone updated. The response was met with great cheers, considering the high spirits everyone was in already, after the thunderous response that Animal trailer had received a while ago.
Animal trailer shows only 5% of what we have to offer: Ranbir Kapoor
Among other subjects, Ranbir Kapoor also promised his fans that the trailer only shows 5 % of the film’s madness, and that the fans have a lot in store for them when they finally watch the film in theatres a week later. Ranbir Kapoor also talked about how he used his father Rishi Kapoor as a reference point for playing his character in the film, while adding that he could not afford to be too methodical about his acting or take home a character that is so disturbing.

Besides Ranbir Kapoor, Animal also stars Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna in prominent roles. The film will hit the theatres worldwide on December 1, where it clashes with Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sam Bahadur.
