Rohit Saraf is gearing up for the release of his film Ishq Vishk Rebound. The movie is the second instalment in the franchise which was first released in 2003 as Ishq Vishk and marked the debut of Shahid Kapoor. Ahead of the sequel release on June 21, Rohit Saraf talks about if there is pressure on him to be compared to Shahid Kapoor. 

Rohit Saraf says he does not feel pressurised

On June 11, Rohit Saraf and the other cast and crew members of Ishq Visk Rebound came together for the trailer launch of the film. Speaking at the trailer launch, as per Free Press Journal, the actor opened up on feeling the pressures of starring in the movie. He said, “We all are nervous but also happy. I can't tell you how incredible it feels when a dream is realised. I don't feel pressured but very secure. Doing work that I haven't done before and taking risks by exploring new genres is an incredible feeling.” 

He also spoke about the indirect comparisons of him with Shahid Kapoor, who starred in the original film. Saraf shared, “The comparisons started happening soon after the title track was released. I honestly feel that it is a huge honour to be compared to somebody as legendary as Shahid Kapoor. I have been Shahid's huge fan over the years, especially with Ishq Vishk. I remember watching him dance to the title track. I have been in awe of how amazing a dancer he has been. Over the years, he has proven himself to be a phenomenal actor too. I take the comparisons in the right spirit because I don’t have the pressure that I am trying to fill his shoes.” 

Will Shahid Kapoor appear in Ishq Vishk Rebound? 

On June 11, the director and the stars of the upcoming film Ishq Vishk Rebound came together to unveil the trailer of the movie. The 2 minutes trailer narrates two intertwined college love stories against the backdrop of friendship. At the trailer launch, the director, Nipun Dharmadhikari spoke about the movie and if original star Shahid Kapoor will make an appearance. 

Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao made their debut with the 2003 film Ishq Vishk. Fans of the Kabir Singh actor are anticipating his cameo in the upcoming movie as well. As per Free Press Journal speaking at the trailer launch event the director shared, “You will know that on June 21.”
