Nawazuddin Siddiqui is gearing up for the release of his next film Section 108, co-starring Regina Cassandra. On Monday, the makers of the film dropped the teaser on social media. The film is set to delve into the world of scams, with Nawazuddin and Regina leading the charge.

Section 108 to feature Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a different light
The teaser of Section 108 introduces Regina Cassandra as Shikha Saxena, a representative of an insurance company. She seeks the assistance of Nawazuddin Siddiqui's character, Tahoor Khan, an insurance claim consultant. Shikha presents Tahoor with a perplexing case involving a billionaire who is about to be declared dead, which would lead to a substantial payout to their nominee. As suspicions of a scam arise, Tahoor agrees to take on the challenge.
The film derives its title from Section 108 of The Indian Evidence Act 1872, which stipulates that if an individual remains unaccounted for over a period of seven years, the burden of proving their existence shifts to the person who affirms it.

The movie also stars Aasif Khan, Rumi Khan, Saanand Verma, Alisshaa Ohri, and Saharsh Kumar Shukla in key roles. Scheduled to release on February 2 next year, Section 108 is directed by Rasikh Khan and produced by Anees Bazmee, well-known for his comedy films No Entry, Welcome and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
Section 108 to release next year
According to Pinkvilla, Section 108 is set around the insurance industry in India. The film is already shot but will make its cinematic debut next year. Regina Cassandra, known for her work in South Indian cinema, will star opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the first time.

Apart from Section 108, Nawazuddin will be seen in Haddi, where he will portray the character of a transgender. Haddi is set to release on OTT in September. He also featured in Sudhir Mishra's Afwaah alongside Bhumi Pednekar.
Regina Cassandra, who made her debut in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga alongside Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, has gained recognition for her roles in Rocket Boys and the Shahid Kapoor starrer Farzi. She recently appeared in the Tamil horror thriller Karungaapiyam.
