Stree 2 BO Collection Day 11: Shraddha Starrer Mints ₹384.55 Crore After Impressive Second Weekend

Stree 2 is giving other movies a run for their money as even in the second weekend, the horror comedy is topping the domestic box office chart. Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the movie is inching closer to joining ₹400 club by the end of Monday, August 26, benefitting from the Janmashtami holiday. Meanwhile, the movie had a blockbuster second Sunday at the box office.

Helmed by Amar Kaushik, the movie racked up ₹42.4 crore on the second Sunday, showing 28.48 per cent growth from Saturday. Adding the 11-day collection to the total, the India net stands at ₹384.55 crore, according to Sacnilk. Stree 2 had an overall 63.69 per cent Hindi occupancy on Sunday with the maximum reported in Lucknow (80 per cent). This is Shraddha and Rajkummar's first movie to earn ₹384.55 crore in just 11 days.

Not just in India, the movie is also racking the overseas box office. The 11-day business of the horror comedy stands at ₹80 crore, taking the worldwide collection to ₹540 crore.

Does Stree 2 success belong to?

Aparshakti recently talked about Shraddha Kapoor being "more popular" than the other actors in Stree 2. “Gaining more popularity is a PR game. Does the original audience, who have a face, say the same thing? I love each and every actor of my film and I'm equally attached to them. But in a happy space where the film has got such numbers, talking about this may appear slightly off and hurtful. If these conversations come up, you have to take a side as well. I don't want to take anybody's side. They are all equally close to me. I believe in the journey of an actor. Someone might dance well, look well, sing well or act well or same do their PR well. There are a lot of talents through which a journey is complete. I wouldn't call PR my strongest part.”
