Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 16: Shraddha Kapoor Starrer Sets Eyes On ₹500 Crore Mark
Stree 2 Box Office Collection: The horror comedy has minted ₹441.55 crore at the domestic box office and is slowly inching towards another milestone.
Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 is unstoppable at the box even in the third week. The movie might have witnessed a drop in the daily collection but has maintained a steady pace at the domestic box office. On the other hand, Stree 2 is enjoying its pace at the global box office as it has surpassed ₹600 crore mark.

Helmed by Amar Kaushik, the movie has minted ₹8.5 crore on the first day of the third week. Adding the 16th day collection, the total now stands at ₹441.55 crore at the domestic box office, as per Sacnilk. Seeing the trend, the movie will be soon entering ₹500 crore club by the end of the third weekend. Stree 2 had an overall 17.25 per cent Hindi occupancy on Friday, August 30 with the maximum reported in Bengaluru (27 per cent).
On the global front, the movie has so far minted ₹630.50 crore, becoming the second-biggest hit of the year, behind Kalki 2898 AD, which had made over Rs 1000 crore worldwide. Apart from Rajkummar and Shraddha, the movie also starred Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee in the supporting roles.
DYK Rajkummar Rao’s singing Calm Down in film cost makers ₹25 lakh?
In an interview with FM, Rajkummar Rao's co-star in Stree 2, Abhishek Banerjee spilt the beans about this particular detail in the film. He said that singing a certain segment of the Calm Down song by Rema, which was Rajkummar Rao’s improvisation, proved quite expensive to the filmmakers. To secure the music rights of Calm Down, the makers had to shell out ₹25 Lakh. Abhishek further said, "Ye Itihaaas ka sabse mehnga improvisation tha."
