Sushmita Sen Marks Her 'Second Birth' After Heart Attack With Instagram Profile Update

Sushmita Sen braved a massive heart attack in 2023. The actress had taken to her Instagram account to share with her fans that she had sustained a cardiac event and had undergone angioplasty surgery for the same. More than a year after the event, the actress has now changed her Instagram bio to add a new date of birth to the same.

On June 28, more than a year after her heart attack, Sushmita Sen took to her Instagram account to change her bio. The actress added a date from last year in the same and mentioned it as “second DOB”. The date read, “27/02/2023”. 

Social media users and fans of the actress think she has hinted towards her cardiac episode which seemingly took place in late February last year. While the exact date of the same is unknown, the Aarya actress shared the news of sustaining a heart attack on March 2 when she also revealed that her angioplasty had been successful. Netizens have aligned the date to speculate that the actress is referring to the heart attack as a second birth. 

When Sushmita Sen revealed the news of her heart attack 

Fans were shocked when they learned about the actress's heart attack earlier. The actress had revealed about the heart attack in an Instagram post a few months ago. The actress had shared a picture with her father and wrote: "Keep your heart happy and courageous, and it'll stand by you when you need it the most Shona (Wise words by my father @sensubir). I suffered a heart attack a couple of days back. Angioplasty done, stent in place, and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed 'I do have a big heart' (sic)."
